Liz Chalfin, director of ZMP will present a slide talk about her recent trip to South Africa to work with printmakers at Artist Proof Studio and with William Kentridge.

Curator Statement: “When I first saw the Flat File at Zea Mays I was amazed at the abundance of amazing art. What a wonderful treasure, with so many different techniques and visions! I chose to focus on abstract art for this first show because it is a personal favorite of mine, and also because I believe it highlights the diverse range of expression, imagination, style and excellence that imbue the many talented artists at Zea Mays. I hope that seeing these works will inspire art lovers to explore the Flat File on their own.” – Lindsay Berry
