$35 materials fee covers blocks, inks and paper.

There are so many ways to introduce color and variety to woodblock prints! In this workshop we will explore the art and craft of woodcut, while learning a variety of ways to introduce color to our prints, such as multiple block printing, chine colle, collage, rainbow rolls, stencils, masks, hand coloring and more.  Our approach will be experimental and open-ended. The four-week structure allows for carving, idea development and materials collection in between workshops, so that we can make the best use of our studio time together.

Because basics about tool use and care, image transfer, registration, and inking will be covered, this class is appropriate for all levels of experience.
