This workshop is designed for advanced monotype participants who have taken previous workshops and would like to delve a little deeper, with the support of an on-going class. We will explore more about layering color, practice with larger rollers for viscosity prints and surface rolls, adding opaque white layers, and create a drypoint plate to expand your monotype vocabulary.
Each day of the workshop begins with a demonstration of a printmaking technique, followed by supported practice time with the materials. Participants will be encouraged to experiment, and apply these processes to create individual print projects. Over the course of five weeks, participants will get to know the tools of the studio, the unique qualities of Akua Water-based Inks, and innovative monotype methods.
