In 2003 my wife asked if we wanted to take our daughter out of 4th grade to live in Havana, Cuba for a year. That trip changed our family, and we have returned yearly to Havana for two decades. I have collaborating with Cuban printmakers, teaching book arts – gratis and so much more. Living in Massachusetts where the forest envelops my tent studio I muck about with paper and ink with an ear to world news while exploring environmental and political narratives to share. My observations are honed from wonder and awe tempered with the realities of roadkill amphibians crossing to the neighboring wetland.
