Artist’s Statement:

I take a recognizable form, shape or object and sometimes an experience. Through a process of accidental and intentional marks I transform what I started with. A piece is finished when there is a certain balance. But I also recognize parts of my piece that are not balanced and are not complete, only suggestive. Many layers of ink application comprise each piece. This is the beauty of the process. Each monotype has its own history.
