Create narrative images that move across the page, working either abstractly or figuratively. Link a series of prints either vertically or horizontally, or layer longer plates working with fluid overlap to carry the eye through the composition. Explore printing and layering transparent / thin papers and cut outs to play with depth of space. You will be able to make many different kind of plates in this workshop, including monotype, relief and collagraph and will serves as an introduction to selectively inking relief plates, using masks and stencils, building collagraphs and skillful integration of collage elements to explore extending the visual field in print.  Some prior printmaking experience in any monotype, relief or collagraph medium recommended.
