Therese Dwyer Moriarty
I grew up in western MA and currently live near conservation land featuring abandoned sandstone quarries that inspires some of my present work.
I fell in love with printmaking while in college. I put that interest on the back burner for many years, working with drawing and in oils. The printmaking passion was rekindled at Zea Mays Printmaking, where the community and studio offerings drew me in all over again.
My work’s focus has always tended towards nature but in 2013 I developed a keen interest for also provoking contemplation following a visit to the Alps and France. Owning books written during WW1 became the backdrop for the breathtaking scenery that was littered with Arcs de Triumph from the two world wars fought in their backyards.
After teaching at private and public schools for over 20 years, I now host workshops and classes for children and adults at my LITTLE ART STUDIO 55. My work has been shown across the USA and abroad and can be found in many private collections. My work is represented by The Nest Airbnb in Connecticut, and I am a member of Zea Mays Printmaking.
You can frequently find me playing with my grandchildren, hiking in the conservation land, or tending my to front yard vegetable garden.
