Sally Frank

Sally Frank

Sally Frank is a printmaker who draws inspiration from closely observing the natural world, time and space associations, and a deep sense of connection with the earth. Her work channels the vibrant forces of life in the natural world. It is also the sharing of her love for nature, imprinted on her as a child growing up in rural Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Frank is increasingly worried about the vulnerability of the environment and the mounting climate crisis created by continual urban development and the vast systems of livestock farming necessary to support the global food supply. Much of her work expresses that tension between the beauty of the landscape and it’s simultaneously precariousness existence.

Frank uses a variety of printmaking techniques from traditional etchings, woodcuts and monotypes to newer methods such as photopolymer printmaking.
