Linda Batchelor
I have been involved with printmaking for about 30 years, settling on monotype/collages as my medium of choice for most of that time. Post covid I have found myself wanting to break out and try new techniques. With the help of a Zea Mays mentorship and classes, I feel free to experiment with new techniques and approaches. I now use Akua and Cranfield inks on a wide range of papers. I hand print a lot of my work and have been exploring gel plate printing. Almost all of my work is abstract. I enjoy the ambiguity of the “subject” or lack thereof. And I still love color and pattern.
