In this exciting four day workshop, we’ll be working directly from the landscape and in sessions with a figure model. We’ll start with a day of instruction in both monotype and drypoint on thin plastic plates using your photographs for subject matter. Attention will focus on the fundamentals of value, color, description of forms as well as the practical aspects of working “on location.”
Each of the next three days will include observational hours, moving into the landscape and working with the live model, drawing on paper or plates, as well as time for printing plates and developing the prints in directions that encourage expressive, personal narratives.
No prior printmaking experience necessary.
