Limited to 6 participants in each section

A second section will be added if there is enough interest.        

During this course participants will create and explore thematically related prints inspired by a poem, a haiku or lyrics. With emphasis on individual and expressive imagery, including painterly approaches and AKUA intaglio inks,  a series of  monotype and drypoint prints will be created. Imagery development, color and printing surface, multiple plate registration, press and hand printing, as well as monotype and drypoint techniques will be addressed. Participants will be introduced to the principles of text and image composition, page design using collage, stamping, handwriting and digital media. Participants will create a pamphlet book including the prints and the text, which will reflect each participant’s concept and aesthetics.

There is no need for a press. All levels are welcome.

Workshop format: Zoom meeting  will consist of presentations, hands-on demonstrations,  group and one-on-one discussions, studio time.

Participants will need:
Petg printing plates
Akua Intaglio Ink starter set
printing paper
misc. tools 
A complete materials list will be sent upon registration
