Joyce Silverstone, 2012
January 25, 2012 – February 23, 2012
Reception: Feb 1, 5pm – 6pm
This exhibition showcases the work of thirteen artists who freely wear the title of “printmaker.” Within each artist’s work there is an opportunity to discover the unique qualities of printmaking and to see how these skilled individuals bend the medium to tell their visual stories. Artists include: Annie Bissett, Anne Beresford, Victoria Burge, Brian Cohen, Anita S. Hunt, Nancy Diessner, Louise Kohrman, Lilianna Periera, Lynn Peterfreund, Erika Radich, Joyce Silverstone, Nanny Vonnegut and Carolyn Webb
Exhibition Curator Liz Chalfin will speak on February 1st, 6:30 – 7:30 PM in the French Building Auditorium. Liz will expand on the exhibition through a slide-show talk about the thirteen artists represented in the show. She will show a larger body of work by each artist and discuss their motivations, creative process and individual uses of a variety of printmaking processes. Liz Chalfin is founder and director of Zea Mays Printmaking.
