$40 materials fee includes use of screens, paper, inks
This workshop will teach participants how to use a photo process to create screenprinting stencils. We will coat screens with light sensitive emulsion and expose them in the darkroom to oiled photocopies, photographs printed on transparencies, or drawings and paintings on mylar. The class will cover digital image preparation and an orientation to the newly renovated screenprinting darkroom at Zea Mays. We will also cover basic printing technique and paper registration.
All levels of screenprinting experience are welcome! Participants should bring drawings or photographs that they would like to work with.
