Direct observation will be the focus of this workshop. Participants will respond to and record the underlying patterns found in the natural world. With the help of a small Nature Lab as a visual resource during the workshop, participants will be encouraged to discover both the unity and diversity of structures found in natural objects. Cellular organization, and organic growth patterns will guide the exploration into a variety of printing options; collagraph, relief, monotype, and intaglio techniques. We will use Akua Intaglio inks during this workshop.
