This workshop extends your photopolymer prints by layering additional plates into each print. We’ll explore a few techniques for those plates: aluminum plates that can be etched with texture (spit bite), Plexi plates with drypoint lines, and painterly monoprint plates. Each of these techniques will be used in support of your key photopolymer plate. Working with space, color, and texture, as well as transparency, opacity, and viscosity, will extend the opportunities for personal expression and open up new directions for your photopolymer imagery. Your photopolymer plates become a jumping off point for a new image.

**Though the steps for making photopolymer plates will be reviewed at the beginning of the workshop, some experience working with photopolymer plates (or Solarplates) is required for this class.
