In these two videos Marjorie Morgan demonstrates how to create your own relief inks using dyes from plants and pigments from minerals found in your environs.  The videos cover how to clean and prepare the dyes and pigments and how to bind them to make printable ink.

Part 1:  Making Relief Inks with Natural Dyes
Follow along as Marjorie shows you how to make relief inks using natural dyes made from berries, grasses, leaves and more.  Instruction on how to prepare the dyes, mix them with different binders and print with them both by hand and on an etching press. – 35 minutes

Part 2:  Making Relief Inks with Natural Pigments
Natural pigments come from ground stone, bricks, minerals and can be collected in the environment or purchased already prepared.  Marjorie demonstrates a simple way to levigate natural materials to create pigment and how to bind them into ink.  Printing demos both on and off the press. – 39 minutes
