This workshop is full. We’ve added a new workshop on Sunday, December 18th – click here to register
This one-day workshop will be an introduction to monotype drawing strategies with painterly brushwork and unconventional drawing tools. We will practice multiple-plate printing to arrive at a depth and variety of mark in each layer. Lines directly applied to plastic plates are then inked with viscosity rolls of color layers.
This will be one fairly fast paced day to employ quick mark making and sketching to capture the moment on your plates.
This workshop is open to beginners with no printmaking experience as well as experienced printmakers. It can also be used as an introduction or a re-fresher course for those familiar with monotype printmaking and how to work with Akua Intaglio Inks.
