Using still life subjects as inspiration, learn to create forms and marks that convincingly exist in space. The same principles for using value, color, line, edges and texture work whether those forms and marks have volume, or are flat. In this class, students will be able to explore different ways of interpreting still life forms with the quick, directness of monotype. The lessons learned are applicable to other forms of drawing an painting.
Using Akua Intaglio inks, instruction includes ink mixing, ink applications and modification, color layering, stencil use, ways of adding line and texture.
All levels of experience welcome.
