Born in New Zealand, Alison Williams now lives in New Hampshire and teaches at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Williams received her Masters in Fine Art from the Art Institute of Boston and on completion was nominated for and received the Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant. Exhibitions in 2011 include a solo exhibition at the McIninch Gallery, NH and a two person exhibition at the Lamont Gallery, NH as well as group exhibitions at; Lesley University Gallery, MA; Artspace, CT; The Lot, CT and Amherst Street Gallery, NH. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, and exhibits in Scotland and the United States of America.
