$165.00Saturday, June 3rd, 10 AM-5 PM
with Carolyn Muskat
Pronto Plates (or Smart Plates) are thin polyester printing plates that offer many options for the artist, including delicate line drawings to bold graphic marks to small photo-montage elements. A form of lithography, these plates are inexpensive and relatively easy to use. Students will learn the ins and outs of using these fun plates, which require minimal materials and can be mixed with many other media. If you haven’t experimented with these plates yet or have had a few challenges, this workshop will be for you!
This will be a one-day workshop, so you will be moving pretty quickly. You will cover various drawing/image-making options, printing, and trouble-shooting. Students should bring sketches or ideas with them. You will be working with 8.5″ x 11” plates, leaving space for images sized approx. 7″ x 9” or smaller.
