with Carolyn Muskat
Spend a weekend with the Litho Queen! Visiting instructor Carolyn Muskat joins us in the teaching studio to share her expertise on making lithographic prints using Pronto Plates.
Pronto Plates, also known as polyester plates, offer artists an easy introduction to litho printing. They can be used with direct drawing, or printed images and text from a laser printer. They come at an economical price, are thin enough to be cut with a scissors and combine well with other print processes on paper or fabric. We will cover the advantages and limitations of these plates, along with basic registration methods and color printing.
The 2-day format gives participants the time to learn the basics and then bring in new plates/images for printing and troubleshooting. This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a Master Printer in a small-group setting and get individual attention and guidance on your work. We only offer this workshop once a year, so make sure to grab your spot early!
Materials cost includes plates, paper, ink and chemistry. Participants will need to bring their own apron and gloves for cleaning up.
