Poetry & Prints via ZOOM

November 3, 2025 @ 10:00 am - November 24, 2025 @ 2:00 pm

$395.00 – $500.00

Mondays, November 3, 10, 17 & 24, 10 AM-2 PM EST

Registration Deadline: November 2

with Amaryllis Siniossoglou

During this 4-week workshop, participants will have the opportunity to develop their individual series of prints inspired by poetry and other writings. The final prints and text will be included in a portfolio book arts project. Zoom meetings will include presentations, hands-on demonstrations, group and one-on-one discussions.

Working in any printmaking medium of their choice, participants will be guided through the creative stages: source of inspiration, thumbnails, sketches, references, dummy page design, text and image composition, sequence, printing and the making of the portfolio.

Text can be a poem, haiku or song; prints may be in any printmaking medium of your choice (relief, monotype, solar plates, lithography, etching, print collage, other). You are welcome to complete or modify existing prints, or create new ones to accompany the text. For those new to printmaking, a series of monotypes will be highly recommended, offering flexibility and limited studio equipment needed. This workshop will include limited printmaking demonstrations, focusing more on the image – text development and encouraging artists to print outside of class time.

Emphasis will be given to the concept, text and image interpretation, sequence and rhythm, color and paper choices, alternative materials, size and format, hands-on and digital media options, one-of-a-kind and home printed editions. Combination with digital media will be discussed.

This workshop is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of printmaking.

No press necessary.
