Handmade, natural inks and dyes can be used to create stunning and colorful prints; and these prints are perfect source materials for making artist books and creative cards!
In this version of Organic Impressions, students will create two kinds of monotypes with natural materials, and will then transform these prints into books and cards. Each participant will learn the recipes for a multitude of natural inks and dyes, how to use these inks/dyes to create prints, and the basic structures for creating a variety of books and cards. By the end of this weekend workshop, everyone will have learned new printing and bookmaking skills and will go home with at least one completed artist book and an infinity card.
No previous experience with printmaking or bookmaking is required.
