Master Class: Mokuhanga Summer Intensive with Annie Bissett
July 21 @ 10:00 am - July 25 @ 5:00 pm
$925.00
Tuesday-Saturday, July 21-25, 10 AM-5 PM
with Annie Bissett
Come and join us for the week that previous attendees have lovingly nicknamed “Mokuhanga Summer Camp!”
This workshop is designed for artists who already know the basics of mokuhanga and want some individualized instruction to bring their skills to the next level. Want to improve your bokashi technique, get more consistent with your printing, work larger, finesse your carving, or try reduction mokuhanga? Annie will meet with you on Zoom before the workshop to discuss areas you wish to concentrate on or troubleshoot, and together you will develop a plan for your five days.
Instruction during the workshop will be fluid, individualized, and mostly one-on-one, although there will be daily topics and demonstrations. Participants also learn from each other as we move through the week and watch each other’s work develop. Mid week there will be a field trip to Smith College Museum of Art’s print study room to view mokuhanga prints from their collection, and there is also a possibility of visiting Annie’s nearby home studio.
