$545.00

Tuesday-Thursday, August 26-28, 10 AM-5 PM

with Margo Temple and Liz Chalfin

If you’re already familiar with photopolymer intaglio printmaking and are curious about expanding your approach, this workshop is for you. Over the course of three days, we will explore ways to disrupt the traditional work flow and introduce creative opportunities for using this flexible intaglio process.

Using either photographs or drawings as a starting point, we’ll experiment with disrupting the film positives, altering the exposed plates and expanding the printing techniques to include stencils, surface rolls, multi-plate printing, chine collé, and a la poupée inking.

This is an opportunity to take your photopolymer etchings into new creative territory!

Participants should be comfortable working independently in the darkroom, have a basic understanding of manipulating images in Photoshop and familiarity with photopolymer intaglio processes, including inking, wiping, and printing intaglio plates.

Materials fee not included, participants will be billed at the end of the workshop based on the amount of materials they use.
