Transform your prints into dimensional structures and illuminate them from within! This workshop is the next step for participants interested furthering their explorations of waxed prints on thin papers. Waxed prints can be turned into structures with stitching and other materials for attachment such as wire and grommets, and then illuminated with LED’s, creating endless possibilities for light without the hazards of fire.

Participants can bring prints created on thin papers to wax and transform into dimensional structures, or can print or make rubbings to wax and work with on site. We will be problem-solving and discovering new possibilities throughout the weekend. There will be a variety of LEDs to work with, some of which will be included in the materials for the weekend.
