Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5, 10 AM-5 PM

with Jenny Gover

New to screenprinting? Learn the basics or deepen your practice in a weekend workshop! This workshop is a great introduction to screenprinting and an opportunity for those with experience to refresh their skills and try new techniques.

We will explore several ways to make screenprints, from drawing fluid to cut paper stencils and monotypes, and it will be geared towards techniques that you can easily do from home. Instead of photo-based screen printing, this workshop focuses on all the different ways you can use direct drawing, cut stencils and painterly monotype approaches.

We will be printing primarily on paper and using layering to create depth and complex colors. Participants will learn basic printing techniques and paper registration – everything you need to get started on a screenprinting project or to refresh your skills. This workshop is appropriate for all levels.
