Soy Wax Soft Ground is an impressionable, acid resistant, wax based medium which allows an artist to obtain delicate lines, subtle tones and direct object impressions through etching. This workshop will introduce you to how to make the soft ground and how to use it as a way to add line, tone and texture to your etchings in one simple step. It’s versatile, sensitive and easy to use and gives gorgeous results. Add this technique to your etching toolkit!
About the Instructor:
For the past fifteen years, Larinda Meade has been pursuing her love of intaglio printmaking. Her work is collected in private and public collections, among them the Portland Museum of Art, Wheaton College, and the New Britain Museum of Fine Art. Larinda is a member of the Boston Printmakers, Peregrine Press, (Portland, Maine) and Zea Mays Printmaking (Florence MA)
