Learn to navigate the world of color with confidence!
This workshop is designed to provide tips on how to constitute color schemes for one, two and three color blocks/plates. Starting with color charts, you will learn to modify inks with attention to value, intensity, temperature and transparency. Then, you will learn to select, layer and adjust colors to better suit your overall print concept and printmaking technique. The use of transparent base and white ink, paper choices and printing options will be addressed. During the second session, you will be shown how to apply your color schemes using monotype techniques.
The techniques you will learn in this workshop can be used with any inks, and you are encouraged to work with your favorites during the hands-on portions. There will also be demonstrations and time for sharing and feedback from the instructor and fellow participants.
