
Color From Nature for Printmakers via ZOOM

This 1-day workshop is an invitation to an inspirational color experience. Participants will be guided through relaxing and motivational exercises and charts on how to analyze imagery from nature, strategies on how to mix colors from observation, and how to create a variety of color schemes for to be applied to their prints.
Emphasis will be given to hue, value, saturation and temperature, high and low contrast, transparency, opacity and layering.
There is no need for a press. AKUA, Caligo Safe Wash or any inks of your choice will be welcome. Former participants in Color and Prints I: Color Scheme Explorations and Color and Prints II: Individual Color Vocabulary for Printmakers will strongly benefit from this workshop. All levels are welcome.
A complete materials list will be sent after registration. Basic materials needed include:

- Paper
- Ink knife
About the Instructor
Amaryllis Siniossoglou is a tenured full-time faculty at the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Worcester State University. As an artist she actively shows nationally and internationally. Her artwork involves printmaking, book arts and digital media, painting and sculpture, and is included in museums and collections. She speaks English, French, Italian and Greek and lives in Cambridge, MA where she runs a print studio.
