This workshop is a refreshing and nurturing journey inspired by Nature while exploring color, prints and book arts.
During this 3-day workshop participants will be introduced to monotype techniques ( including stencils, gradient inking, multiple plate printing, registration and more) and will create two book arts structures to include their prints: a journal, and a pocket accordion. Variations on the book structures will be presented.
Projects will address abstract and representational interpretations of Nature, the landscape, organic forms, natural elements, close-up imagery. Emphasis will be given on composition, print format, movement, pattern, rhythm and working in series.
No press is needed, no previous printmaking or book making skills necessary.
A complete materials list will be sent upon registration.
