Join Roberta Feoli De Lucia as she Zooms from Venice, Italy to teach this simple and effective method of turning recyclables into printing plates and printing using a pasta press!
Have you ever thought that a milk carton can be transformed into an incredible engraving matrix? Have you ever tried printing with a pasta maker? Do you know which inks are easy to use at home and how you can set up a space suitable for creating freely? Roberta will guide you through preparing the matrix, creating a drypoint, using water-washable inks and adding chine collé to your prints.
This form of printmaking can easily be done at home on your kitchen table with just a few materials. You don’t even need a pasta press, as Roberta will demonstrate alternative methods for hand printing.
This workshop takes place over two mornings. The first will be devoted to plate making and the second to printing. Take a virtual trip to Italy to explore a delightful form of printmaking.
