Advanced Mokuhanga Intensive
July 24 @ 10:00 am - July 28 @ 5:00 pm
$740.00Monday-Friday, July 24-28, 10 AM-5 PM
with Annie Bissett
This 5-day workshop is designed for artists who have completed a body of work using watercolor woodblock (mokuhanga) techniques on their own, outside of a workshop setting, and who feel ready to make a focused advance in their practice.
Annie will meet with participants remotely before the workshop to discuss areas you wish to concentrate on or troubleshoot, and together you will develop a plan for your five days. Instruction during the workshop will be fluid, mostly individualized and one-on-one, although there will be demonstrations as desired and needed. Participants will also learn from each other as we move through the week and watch each other’s work develop.
Mid-week there will be a field trip to Smith College Museum of Art’s print study room to view mokuhanga prints from their collection.
We are grateful to McClain’s Printmaking Supplies for their partial sponsorship of this workshop.
