
2-Day Color for Printmakers II via ZOOM

This 2-day workshop is an invitation to an inspirational color journey, taking your knowledge of mixing color to the next level.
Starting with a primary color, participants will create a rich complementary color scheme chart, discovering amazing color combinations. The next two charts will focus on muted color schemes, color intensity, color temperature and color proportion.
Emphasis will be given to hue, value, saturation and temperature, high and low contrast, transparency vs white, opacity and layering.
There is no need for a press. All levels are welcome. Artists who have taken Amaryllis’ previous 1-Day or 2-Day Color for Printmakers class will particularly benefit from this course.
Basic materials needed include:
- Ink
- Paper
- Ink knife
About the Instructor:
Amaryllis Siniossoglou is a tenured full-time faculty at the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Worcester State University. As an artist she actively shows nationally and internationally. Her artwork involves printmaking, book arts and digital media, painting and sculpture, and is included in museums and collections. She speaks English, French, Italian and Greek and lives in Cambridge, MA where she runs a print studio.
