As a lifelong environmentalist and plant person, Tony(a)’s work as an artist and healer sits at the intersection of Art, Ecology and Herbalism. She is a conceptual multimedia artist inspired by all aspects of the natural world, and actively works with the alchemical processes of Green World, be it eco-printing, alternative photography methods or foraging and medicine making. Her artwork and healing work is process based centering around relationship, well-being, creativity, connection and co-existence. She believes art and creativity to be an integral part of the healing process.

She has spent these past few years developing a creative practice which she calls “Art that Breathes” a process based methodology which deepens our connection to the healing plants through collaborative art and is presently in an MFA program through Clark University furthering this work.  Tony(a) has worked as a community herbalist and educator for over 25 years, helping people connect with plants as allies for physical, mental, and spiritual healing through teaching herbal apprenticeships and botanical art studio program at Blazing Star Herbal School in Conway, MA.

She has taught classes and workshops all over the country including at the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University, The New England Botanical Garden, The Provincetown Art Museum, Books in the Woods, and Shepherd and Maudsley Printmaking. She has  shown her in several local galleries both solo and in group shows, and has curated several shows locally. Since joining Zea Mays as an intern in 2022 she has thoroughly enjoyed learning all she can about printmaking and being part of a community of artists.
