
Catherine Greenwood teaches Intaglio etching at Putney school of art in London and also independently from her Green Print Studio. She graduated with an MA from UMaine in 1998 after becoming passionate about ‘safer etching’ with Prof. Susan Groce. Since then has set up her own studio and also held a Print Fellowship at City & Guilds Art school London.
She recently enjoyed being an artist in residence at Zea Mays in November 2024, focusing on extending her knowledge of green etching methods on copper and exploring possibilities of her wild mountain images as large monotypes.
Catherine is a member of Wilderness Art Collective whose aim is to connect with nature through art. She exhibits internationally as well as US & UK; most recently as part of Trinity Buoy wharf drawing prize which currently tours UK 2025.
Catherine lives in Sussex UK, has a studio with an etching press in her garden cabin, she teaches in London, traveling to connect with other printmakers whenever possible!
