Born in New Zealand, Alison Williams currently divides her time between Massachusetts, Vermont and New Zealand. Williams is the Design and Planning Manager at The Narrow Lane Landscaping Company in Needham, MA. Williams was the founding Dean of the MFA Programs at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland and her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the Art Institute of Boston, Lesley. On completion of her MFA she received the Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant. Exhibitions include: solo exhibitions at the Transit Gallery, Harvard Science School, Boston, MA, Babson Colege, MA, the MacIninch Gallery, NH, a two person exhibition at the Lamont Gallery, NH as well as group exhibitions at; Lesley University Gallery, MA; Artspace, CT; The Lot, CT and Beard and Weil Galleries at Wheaton College.
