$35 materials fee covers plates, inks and paper.
This 3-week workshop offers a chance to gain or revive your drawing skills and apply them to making a drypoint on a copper plate. Drypoint is a direct method of drawing on a metal plate to achieve sensual lines and beautiful marks.
Without the use of acids, line, tone, and texture can all be achieved on copper. We’ll use a variety of tools to draw with, as well as tools to make changes to what’s on the plate. Basics of intaglio printing will be covered along with surface rolls and less traditional ways to print.
Printmakers of any level are welcome as well as beginners.
