October 23 – November 20, 2018, 10-3pm
$325 non-members, $290 members
$40 materials fee includes plates, paper, inks
This workshop is designed for monotype participants who would like to delve a little deeper into color and color theory, with the support of an on-going class. We will explore more about layering color, creating viscosity prints and surface rolls and together we will study color from a wide variety of examples in print and paint.
Each day of the workshop begins with a demonstration of a printmaking technique and a focus on one aspect of color-applied-to-printing, followed by supported practice time with the materials. Participants will be encouraged to experiment, and apply these processes to their own individual print projects. Over the course of five weeks, participants will get to know the tools of the studio, the unique qualities of Akua Water-based Inks, and innovative monotype methods while exploring color.
