Print on fabric with fiber-reactive textile dye, creating layers of texture and complex color in this weekend workshop. Start from the very beginning: learn to mix your own print paste and dyes, design stencils, and print them off onto yardage. We will combine “straight” silkscreen methods with deconstructed screenprinting, an experimental process in which thickened dye is left to dry in a screen and then printed off by re-hydrating it with print paste. If you are already printing on fabric with inks, this will be a great addition to your print practice. All levels of experience welcome.
