Saturday & Sunday, November 16 & 17, 2013, 10AM – 5PM
$275 non-members, $245 members
This intensive weekend workshop hopes to foster a 3-D way of mind into printmaking, providing particpants the time and resources to delve into printed projects that incorporate sculptural elements and sculptural works incorporating the print medium, or projects combining the two. The weekend will begin with a short presentation introducing participants to artists combining the two mediums and the different possibilities print can play in sculptural work and vice versa. We will look at some actual examples including the instructors installation of prints in the Sanford Gallery. Participants will meet individually with the instructor to create a road map for their project. Demos will be offered as requested depending on projects and could include basic intaglio and monoprint techniques and various approaches to innovative printing techniques and sculptural applications such as installation, shaped prints, collage and assemblage. Artists working in various print and sculptural techniques and at all stages of their artistic path welcome and encouraged in this inter-disciplinary and collaborative workshop!
