Available Offsite Workshops and Demos:

Acrylic Resist Etching
The newest techniques in etching. Learn safer and non-toxic ways to do hardground, softground, aquatint and lift ground etching.

Monotype with Akua-Kolor Inks
Akua-Kolor inks are a wonderful new development in lightfast, brilliant, archival water-based inks.
This demonstration/workshop will introduce ways to work with these inks, including painterly monotype, stencils, and intaglio applications.

Collagraph Printmaking
Collagraphs are the ultimate in recycling! Combine the freedom of collage with the range of inking techniques of intaglio. This demonstration/workshop will explore plate making, inking & wiping and printing.

Pencil Monotype
This wonderful process uses Akua Kolor ink modifiers to make it possible to Liz Akua Kolor workshopprint pencil drawings. Drawings can be printed several times from a single plate, reworked and printed again. It's a great way to document the evolution of an image, or a way to add pencil to your prints. The technique acts as a fixative, so marks don't smudge. Pencil and charcoal can both be used and can be combined with ink.

Photopolymer Printmaking
New photopolymer films make it possible to safely include photographic and/or digital imagery into intaglio, monotype and collagraph prints. This more advanced workshop or demonstration will cover film types and applicable media, as well as lamination, exposure, development and printing techniques.
