Artists' Memberships

Memberships are by application, demonstration of knowledge of printmaking techniques you want to pursue at the studio, and agreement to abide by studio policies.

There are a limited number of Artist memberships available each year. Current members have priority to renew for the following year. New members are accepted as space allows.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS:

10-Month Unlimited Artist Membership- $160/month

10-month commitment (September-June)

• Unlimited access to Zea Mays Printmaking Studio during Open Studio hours (sign up is necessary)
• Priority registration for open studio, classes and workshops.
• 10% discount on classes and workshops at Zea Mays Printmaking.
• Opportunity to sell work at Zea Mays Printmaking during the Arts and Industry Building annual studio sale in November (a small fee will be required)
• Opportunity to have web page in Zea Mays Printmaking's Virtual Gallery on our website.
• Opportunity to exhibit in Zea Mays Printmaking studio exhibitions.
• Opportunities to buy supplies at bulk rates when studio is ordering.
• Flat file and storage space at the studio for the duration of the membership.
• Technical support from Zea Mays staff.
• A great printmaking community.

3-Month Unlimited Artist Membership- $185/month

You pick the months

• Unlimited access to Zea Mays Printmaking studio during Open Studio hours (sign up is necessary)
• 10% discount on classes and workshops at Zea Mays Printmaking (during membership months).
• Flat file and storage space at the studio for the months of membership.
• technical support from Zea Mays staff.

10-Month Limited Artist Membership- $80/month

September-June

• 2 days or 16 hours per month access to Zea Mays Printmaking Studio during Open Studio hours (sign up is necessary)
• 10% Discount on classes and workshops at Zea Mays Printmaking.
• Flat file and storage space at the studio for the duration of the membership.
• Opportunity to exhibit in Zea Mays Printmaking studio exhibitions.
• Opportunity to have web space in Zea Mays Printmaking Virtual Gallery on our website.
• Technical support from Zea Mays Staff

12-Month Low-Use/Long Distance Artist membership- annual fee of $125

Access to Zea Mays Printmaking studio during Open Studio hours when you are in town at discount rates.

• $10/hour, or $50/day, or $175/week, or $250/month.
• 10% discount on classes and workshops at Zea Mays Printmaking.
• Opportunity to exhibit in Zea Mays Printmaking studio exhibitions.
• Opportunity to have web space in Zea Mays Printmaking Virtual Gallery on our website.
• Technical support from Zea Mays staff.

MEMBERSHIP POLICY

All members are expected to understand and adhere to these basic agreements, and to sign a contract.

• Responsibility for knowing safe use of studio and equipment and for applying safety guidelines.
• Ability to work responsibly and independently.
• Respect for and proper usage of facilities and shop equipment.
• Cleanliness and willingness to pick up after yourself.
• Consideration and respect for others working at ZMP, their space and property.
• Members may not use facilities to print for other artists.
