From the Flatfile

Pattern Chair
Elena Betke-Brunswick
mezzotint
2.75" x 3.75"

"Each print in this series contains a lamp and a window. This mezzotint was created in a single, snowy day in my living room. I sat, carefully observing a space I thought I knew well, looking for new relationships between objects, space and light that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I was excited by the challenge of defining a three dimensional form, this subject being the chair, with only pattern and light. "

- Elena Betke-Brunswick

The Flat File contains over 300 prints by our member artists and is always available for viewing at the studio. The prints are all for sale and are available for loan for exhibitions. We change the work in the Flat File once a year and just updated it last month – so if you want a real visual treat, come by the studio and enjoy a very personal, intimate experience with the art.
