Kate Jenkins is a multifaceted artist. She began to spin and weave when she lived on a farm and raised sheep. Initially a hobby, she went on to become a production weaver for several artists making hand woven chenille clothing. Later she developed her own line of hand woven scarves and shawls. Kate is also a painter and printmaker. She is a long time member of Zea Mays Printmaking. Her one-of-a-kind painterly monoprints display her love of color and her delight in life. Kate has mastered her arts without formal training, studying on her own and collaborating with other artists. She teaches weaving and printmaking at Webbs and Snow Farm New England Craft Program and exhibits her work in venues around New England.
