Joyce Silverstone

Joyce studied art at Museum School in Boston, and grew up with the
collection at the Art Institute in Cleveland. She has shown her
prints and paintings in Boston, New York and in the Amherst area.

I have been exploring making monotypes for over 25 years. As a medium,
monotypes invite spontaneity and responsiveness, allowing the
unwilled to emerge, creating possibilities of line, tone, depth of field, natural
harmony, and aliveness that could not be achieved with concious
intention alone.
